Years of nostalgic TikToks and fan requests pushed Chipotle to revive its discontinued margarita for $6. OpenAI launches dots, with cute avatars built in
OpenAI’s new dots are always-on agents that handle tasks like booking flights and rescheduling appointments. Amazon’s redesigned Kindles come in brighter colors like Ube purple, Alpine Sky, and Seaglass Green, with bezels that match the body. Amazon also launched the Kindle Click, a $35 Bluetooth remote for turning pages from under the covers, on a treadmill, or across a tray table. Together with the MacBook Neo’s bright colors and the Beats 360 lineup, consumer tech is selling personality again.

Taco Bell is turning National Taco Day into Global Taco Day on October 6, built on the fact that “taco” barely changes across more than 30 languages. Duolingo brings a limited Duo Habanero Sauce, multilingual sauce cups, and the owl himself, appearing in four cities. It’s the next step in Taco Bell’s habit of claiming a calendar date as its own holiday.
