A: 50% of the US population performs a voice search every single day. With more and more people adopting smart home devices, voice search has certainly exploded over the last few years. Optimizing for voice search isn’t exclusive to one industry over the other; all need it. Voice search will only be integrated into more technologies and become a more integrated part of people’s lives as search continues to evolve. The longer you wait, the steeper the climb is to rank in voice search results.
Q: Where do you think voice search is headed next?
A: Voice search will become a seamless way to research, learn, and, most importantly, purchase goods. Many already use their smart devices like Alexa to shop on Amazon for everyday items. This experience, among others, will be a key part of the future of voice search. Aside from shopping, the voice assistants themselves will evolve to include a wider variety of knowledge bases and enhance more actionable answers/results.
